Russo’s Bookstore is not only crammed with books, they also have a full calendar of events. This is a great summer spot for the kids. Russo’s offers activities for toddlers to young adults. They have Children’s song and story time, Pokémon trading cards, and Yu-Gi-Oh Tournaments. Russo’s also carries comic books, sports memorabilia, and books by local authors. They even have popular guest authors drop by; that’s where I saw Eric Jerome Dickey. For a full schedule check out their Calendar of Events. Russo’s Bookstore is located at 9000 Ming Avenue # I-4 the Marketplace, East Hills Mall, & 1416 17th St.

    Russo’s is also on my place to visit list when I come to Bakersfield. I know my 2 year old would also love this bookstore, for she loves all bookstores.
