Café Med

Café Med is a Traditional Mediterranean Restaurant. At Café Med you can always find something going on whether it’s cooking classes, live music, or wine tasting. I went on a Friday and after 30 minutes of studying the large menu, I ordered the Traditional Mediterranean dish Moussaka, very similar to meat loaf with ground lamb and beef. The music was fabulous! Café Med also has a Gourmet Shoppe where you can buy wines, cheeses, and caviar. Café Med is located at 4801 Stockdale Hwy

My brother and his wife treated us out to Cafe Med for dinner when we came to visit them in Bakersfield. At first there was confusion about whether the kitchen was still opened or closed. After a few minutes, they decided to seat us. They don’t have a closing time per se, it just depends on the crowd. The bar area had a few people. Anyway, the food was excellent. I had the Kleftiko, slow roasted leg of lamb with some grean beans and carrots. It was definately cooked to perfection.
